Responsible gambling
Ledger is for people aged 18 or over.
Ledger publishes football analysis. Ledger does not take bets, hold money for betting or link to bookmakers, and no analysis can guarantee the result of a match. If you choose to bet elsewhere, these habits help keep it under control:
- Decide in advance how much you can afford to lose, and stop when you reach it.
- Only bet with money you don't need for anything else; never borrow to bet.
- Accept losses: never chase losses by betting more to win them back.
- Take regular breaks, and don't bet when you are upset, stressed or have been drinking.
- Keep it as one activity among many, not a way to make money.
Signs it may be a problem
Betting more than you planned, hiding it from people close to you, feeling anxious when you're not betting, or betting to win back losses are all signs worth taking seriously.
