Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Ledger mobile application and the ledgerapp.uk website (together, the "Service"; also "we" and "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What Ledger is — and is not

Ledger is an informational football statistics app. It shows live scores, fixtures, league tables, match statistics, model-derived team strength ratings and projected goals, together with a written explanation of how each number is produced.

• Nothing in the Service is advice or an instruction to bet. Content is analysis and information.
• Ratings, projections and probabilities are the output of statistical models. They describe tendencies across many matches and do not predict the outcome of any individual match. Any decision you make is entirely your own responsibility.

1a. Ledger on the web

At ledgerapp.uk/football, PRO members also see signals: a selection where our model's estimate differs from the bookmaker's price, shown with our estimate of its chance, the price when it was published, and the evidence and risks behind it.

• Signals are analysis, not advice or an instruction to bet. Whether you place any bet, where and for how much is entirely your decision.
• Ledger does not take bets, hold money for betting or link to bookmakers.
• Every signal is logged exactly as it was published and is not edited afterwards. No analysis tells you how any future match will end.
• The Journal is a private record you keep yourself; it does not place or track real bets with any bookmaker.
• You must be 18 or over to use the web product. If gambling is causing you harm, see Responsible gambling.

2. Subscriptions

• Optional PRO features are offered as an auto-renewing subscription, purchased either through Apple's App Store (in the app) or on ledgerapp.uk, where Ledger is the seller and card payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase and include VAT where applicable. Plans are weekly, monthly or yearly and renew automatically.
• A PRO subscription bought on ledgerapp.uk is linked to the email address used at checkout. Signing in to the app with that email unlocks PRO on that device. The app does not sell web subscriptions and never requires you to buy outside the App Store.
• Where a free trial is offered, we tell you its length up front and send a reminder before it ends. The subscription starts only after the trial unless cancelled.
• Your subscription starts immediately; by subscribing you agree it begins now and you lose the 14-day right to cancel. No refunds for partial periods; cancel any time and PRO stays until the end of the period you paid for.
• You can cancel at any time — App Store purchases in your App Store subscription settings, web purchases via Account → Manage subscription on ledgerapp.uk or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Accuracy of data

Scores, fixtures and statistics come from third-party data providers; ratings and projections are produced by our own automated models. We work to keep them accurate and timely but cannot guarantee they are error-free or uninterrupted.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including scraping or bulk-harvesting data, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or using it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend access that breaches these terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and its content (excluding third-party data) are owned by Ledger. Club and league names appearing in live data belong to their respective owners; Ledger is not affiliated with or endorsed by any club, league or governing body.

6. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be signposted in the app or on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
